My parents Annabella and Lars opened Mill Valley Flowers in the 1990's and what started as a hobby, became a labor of love and a family business that continues to this day, over 30 years later. Some say Mother's Day is just another convoluted Hallmark holiday. Maybe it's true. But don't our mother's deserve a day that is just for them? According to history.com "The American incarnation of Mother’s Day was created by Anna Jarvis in 1908 and became an official U.S. holiday in 1914.
